DO NOT Pose for Family Photos

Recently, I spent an hour speaking to a client, so I could personalize a photo package to her needs. She said that her father was diagnosed with cancer many years prior, and just two weeks before he passed, she hired a photographer to follow them for an entire day. They hung out, went for a walk, and got ice cream, among other things. She said this photo album made her fall in love with photography, because everytime she looks at those pictures, it feels like she is taken to those last moments with her father. The photographer was a fly on the wall on this “photoshoot”, except, not once did either of them stare at, or seemingly notice the camera. This is "family photography" merged with “lifestyle photography”.

Have you ever thought to yourself, “Darn, I wish I had a camera with me”, like when your dog does something adorable, or when you share a tender moment with a significant other?

These are brief instances of bliss (seemingly happening at random), the kind that reminds us why life is worth capturing.

Nowadays, everyone has a fair, high-resolution camera in their pocket, but unless you’re famous actor Clint Eastwood in 'The Man With No Name', you will miss the few precious seconds you have to get that perfect shot. "Do you feel lucky?" And that’s if you even know how to fully take advantage of that camera’s features. Taking your phone out to pose for a selfie is a popular way to commemorate time spent with someone you care for, but if you’re sharing a moment right now, posing can ruin it.

The solution: a Lifestyle Photographer, someone who’s adept at creating & capturing candid moments with loved ones, like family. They can facilitate an environment where those tender, funny, or adorable moments are caught inside a printed 8” x 10” frame forever. Those pictures may have always escaped you, but not this time. This time you captured that moment with Yohance Bailey Photography.
